Bristol City have secured the services of Jordan Wynter from Arsenal on a permanent basis.
The 19-year-old signed a professional contract at the Emirates Stadium last summer, but he failed to make a single senior appearance during the most recent campaign.
It is believed that he was offered fresh terms to remain with the Gunners, but he has instead signed on with the Robins, who will be in League One next year.
"Jordan is a versatile player schooled at Arsenal. He is comfortable in possession, strong physically and a welcome addition to the club as we try to change the dynamic of the squad," manager Sean O'Driscoll told the club's official website.
"He is a young player we feel we can develop, and one that has all the desire and hunger to succeed."
Wynter has become O'Driscoll's first signing of the close season.
