Burnley forward Maxwel Cornet has become the subject of interest from as many as 10 Premier League clubs ahead of a potential transfer this summer, according to a report.
The Ivorian enjoyed a productive debut campaign in the Premier League during the 2021-22 season, netting nine league goals in 26 appearances for the Clarets since making the £13m move from Lyon last summer.
However, Cornet's form could not prevent Burnley's relegation from the top flight, confirmed as a result of the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United on the final day of the season at Turf Moor, meaning that the Lancashire side look likely to lose a host of first-team players in the upcoming transfer window.
It was recently revealed that Cornet has a relegation release clause included within the five-year deal signed upon joining the club last year, meaning that any interested club could sign the 25-year-old for as little as £17.5m.
As a result, numerous sides have been alerted to the availability of the forward, with 90min reporting that around 10 Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest so far.
The likes of West Ham United, Newcastle, Fulham, Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace and Leicester City are among those to have contacted Cornet's representatives, according to the report.
In addition, the report suggests that several other sides around Europe are interested in acquiring his services for the 2022-23 campaign, along with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Prior to his move to Burnley, Cornet made 252 appearances for Ligue 1 side Lyon, scoring 51 goals across an eight-year spell. body check tags ::
