Francis Coquelin has joined Bundesliga side Freiburg on a season-long loan.
The Arsenal midfielder, who made his senior debut for the Gunners in 2008, made just 11 league appearances for the club last season.
It is the second time that the 22-year-old has spent a season on loan, having featured for French side Lorient in the 2010-11 campaign.
Coquelin was part of the Arsenal side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2009.
