Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard is reportedly undergoing a medical with Premier League side Crystal Palace.

The Eagles are keen to recruit a new number nine before Tuesday's 11pm deadline and the 22-year-old is believed to be their primary target.

According to Sky Sports News, Palace have had an interest in Edouard for some time and are close to agreeing a deal believed to be worth around £14m, which could rise to £18.5m.

Edouard – who was also linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur – is understood to have expressed his desire to leave Celtic and is hoping to link up with French compatriot Patrick Vieira, who took the reins at Selhurst Park this summer.

The former Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate has scored 86 goals and provided 39 assists in 179 appearances across all competitions for the Glasgow giants.

Crystal Palace were also interested in Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah, though a deal to sign him is now unlikely as talks between both clubs have hit a stumbling block. body check tags ::
