Emile Smith Rowe is reportedly close to agreeing a new long-term deal with Arsenal.
The 20-year-old became an integral part of Mikel Arteta's team during the second half of the 2020-21 campaign, and he ended the season with four goals and seven assists across all competitions.
Arsenal are understandably keen to reward Smith Rowe's performances with a new deal, and the two parties are reportedly close to finalising the details.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Smith Rowe is set to commit his future to Arsenal for another five years until 2026, and there are only a few details left to be ironed out.
The Englishman was previously linked with a move to Aston Villa, but the West Midlands outfit have moved to beat the Gunners to the signature of Emiliano Buendia.
Arsenal are expected to move for a new creative hub in the transfer market, though, with a permanent deal for Martin Odegaard or swoop for Julian Brandt both being mooted.
