Everton have reportedly indicated that they are willing to include James McCarthy in any deal for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
Despite the Ivory Coast international favouring a switch to Arsenal, Everton have emerged as strong competition, seemingly as a result of a desire to meet Palace's £80m valuation.
A previous report had suggested that the Toffees are happy to pay £60m, while also adding Cenk Tosun into the proposal in part-exchange.
However, the Daily Mail now claims that Palace will also be offered the opportunity to sign McCarthy, a player whom they have wanted to sign in the past.
Despite having overcome a broken leg, McCarthy is deemed surplus to requirements at Goodison Park and is willing to move in a bid to kick-start his career.
