Fiorentina director Joe Barone has revealed that "some English clubs" have been in contact to discuss a potential move for in-demand striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The 21-year-old is thought to be a leading target for Arsenal in the January transfer window, although he allegedly harbours doubts over a move to North London.
Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in Vlahovic, and Barone has now confirmed that Premier League clubs have touched base with La Viola.
Speaking to La Nacion, Barone said: "Some English clubs have made contact with Fiorentina but there is no agreement and there can't be if someone [Vlahovic] doesn't talk.
"In any case, we are open to selling, the English clubs want Vlahovic but evidently he's got other ideas - we are ready to negotiate but him and his agent won't talk. There has been no communication from the player and his agent, although I asked them to be clear about their wishes."
Arsenal supposedly want an answer on Vlahovic's future within a few days before they turn their attention to other targets, namely Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Juventus and Real Madrid are also thought to be plotting moves for Vlahovic, whose 17 Serie A strikes this season sees him sit level with Ciro Immobile at the top of the scoring charts. body check tags ::
