Fulham are reportedly unwilling to compromise on their asking price for Bayern Munich target Joao Palhinha.
The Portuguese midfielder, who joined Fulham from Sporting Lisbon in 2022, was on the verge of joining Bayern in the summer transfer window.
Palhinha travelled to Germany with a view to completing a permanent transfer to the perennial Bundesliga champions.
However, the proposed deal ultimately collapsed after the deadline passed before the two clubs could finalise a transfer.
After seeing the move fall through, Palhinha subsequently signed a new long-term contract with Fulham until the summer of 2028.
Despite putting pen to paper on a lengthy deal, the former Sporting man continues to be linked with a move to Thomas Tuchel's side.
Bayern are looking to add to their central midfield options, which currently include Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Konrad Laimer.
Recent speculation has suggested that Fulham would be willing to hold negotiations over their valuation of the Portugal international.
However, according to TEAMtalk, the Premier League side have no intention of lowering their asking price for Palhinha.
Fulham have no interest in selling Palhinha below the price previously discussed with Bayern, which is believed to be in the region of £57m.
Although Palhinha remains a target for Bayern, they are not prepared to spend a significant part of their budget on one player.
While the 28-year-old continues to be linked with a move to Germany, the report also states that Fulham are closing in on a potential replacement.
There is belief that the West London club are making progress in their pursuit of Fluminense midfielder Andre, who has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.
Andre, who has made 165 appearances for Fluminense, is widely expected to leave the Brazilian club in the January transfer window.
