Granit Xhaka's proposed transfer from Arsenal to Roma is reportedly being held up over performance-related add-ons.
The Switzerland captain is preparing for the knockout stages of Euro 2020 with his nation, but speculation surrounding a possible exit from the Emirates Stadium continues to intensify.
Roma manager Jose Mourinho is thought to be interested in bringing Xhaka to Serie A, and the Giallorossi have supposedly agreed to stump up Arsenal's £17m asking price.
Now, Calciomercato reports that the two clubs are still negotiating over bonuses, one of which could see the Gunners pocket an extra €1m (£859k) if Xhaka plays in at least 30 games next season.
The report adds that the initial price could rise by €3m (£2.57m) should other clauses be met, and given Xhaka's willingness to link up with Roma, personal terms should not be a problem.
The 28-year-old has played every minute of his country's Euro 2020 campaign so far as they gear up to meet reigning world champions France in Monday's last-16 battle. body check tags ::
