Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly trying to convince Alexis Sanchez to leave Arsenal and move up to the North-West.
The Chile international has been in fine form for the Gunners so far this season having scored 11 goals, three of which came in Saturday's 5-1 mauling over West Ham United at the London Stadium.
According to El Mercurio, Guardiola made a personal phone call to Sanchez after the forward's hat-trick as part of a plan to persuade the attacker to move to City.
The Chilean publication has stated that Guardiola has contacted Sanchez on at least two occasions as he employs the same tactics used to lure goalkeeper Claudio Bravo away from Barcelona in the summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed earlier in the season that talks have begun about extending Sanchez's contract, but the 27-year-old is yet to agree fresh terms.
The former Barcelona player's current deal expires in 2018.
