Hertha Berlin have reportedly identified Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka as a potential January signing.
Since reacting angrily to supporters who cheered his substitution against Crystal Palace in October, Xhaka has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.
While the former captain has since been reintegrated back into the squad, the Gunners are likely to receive offers at the midway point of the campaign.
According to The Telegraph, Berlin are monitoring the situation ahead of a possible approach in the coming weeks.
Before making the switch to Arsenal in 2016, Xhaka spent four years in the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Much will depend on whether the 27-year-old features in the plans of Mikel Arteta, who is expected to be named as the long-term successor to Unai Emery before the end of the week.
