Alexandre Lacazette has played down suggestions that he came close to leaving Arsenal during the summer.
Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon in 2017, and despite scoring 17 times during his first season in England, the Frenchman faced criticism for his overall form.
The centre-forward was linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, but he has insisted that the Gunners never wanted to sell him.
"I'm happy because I know now the league, I know my players, my teammates. The club is happy because this summer they didn't want to sell me; they told me 'we are happy to have you in the team'," Lacazette told Arsenal Player.
The 27-year-old has netted six times in 15 appearances for Arsenal during the 2018-19 season.
