Alexandre Lacazette is reportedly seeking assurances from Arsenal that he still has a future at the Emirates Stadium.
The French striker has had a mixed time of things since joining the Gunners from Lyon in a £46.5m deal three years ago.
Lacazette has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in his favoured position and has just nine goals in all competitions this term.
Amid rumours that Atletico Madrid are eyeing up a move for the 29-year-old, possibly as part of a swap deal involving Thomas Partey, ESPN reports that talks are soon due to take place between the player and club.
It is claimed that Lacazette, who has two years to run on his current contract, wants to know exactly where he features in boss Mikel Arteta's plans.
Inter Milan have also been tipped to test Arsenal's resolve with a bid for the 16-cap France international.
