Leeds United have enquired about the availability of Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry on a loan deal, manager Brian McDermott said this afternoon.
McDermott revealed in his press conference ahead of tomorrow's match with Bournemouth that he had been looking to bring in new faces and named German teenager Gnabry as well as former striker Luciano Becchio, now at Norwich City, as targets.
"[McDermott] says enquiries have been made for players, but nothing has been forthcoming as yet from those enquiries," read a tweet from United's official account.
The likelihood of landing Gnabry seems slim as he has started the last three matches for Premier League leaders Arsenal in place of the injured Theo Walcott, also netting the first of the Gunners' two goals at Swansea City on Saturday.
Becchio may be easier to land as he is struggling for playing time at Norwich behind Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Gary Hooper and Johan Elmander in the strikers' pecking order.
