Leeds United will reportedly be forced to find alternatives to Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez following a possible season-ending injury for Bernd Leno.
The Arsenal number one was taken off on a stretcher following a clash with Neal Maupay against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend, with Martinez coming off the bench for the Gunners as Brighton enjoyed a 2-1 win on the South Coast.
The 27-year-old was said to be a transfer target for Leeds ahead of next season, but Martinez now looks set for an extended run in the first team at Arsenal.
According to The Athletic, Marcelo Bielsa's side had identified Martinez as a possible replacement for Kiko Casilla, with the Spaniard's future at Elland Road shrouded in uncertainty after being found guilty of racially abusing Charlton Athletic's Jonathan Leko.
The Championship high-flyers will most likely have to continue their search for a new goalkeeper elsewhere, however, as there are fears that Leno could be sidelined until 2021.
Martinez has been a member of the Arsenal first team for eight years, but the Argentine has only made seven Premier League appearances in that time.
