Premier League duo Leeds United and West Ham United have reportedly made enquiries to Arsenal over the availability of striker Eddie Nketiah.
The 22-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta and is now considering his options with less than eight months remaining on his contract.
According to TRANSFERmarketWEB.com, both Leeds and West Ham have made contact with the Gunners ahead of the January transfer window to see if they can prize the striker away from the Emirates Stadium.
Crystal Palace – who are managed by former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira – as well as Bundesliga pair Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen are also keeping tabs on Nketiah, who is valued at around £10.8m.
Leeds are hoping to reunite with Nketiah, who spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Elland Road, while West Ham are looking to bolster their attacking options to provide more competition for talisman Michail Antonio.
Arteta is keen for Nketiah to sign a new contract and stay beyond the summer of 2022, however, as the youngster has not made a single Premier League appearance this season, he will likely seek a move in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
Nketiah, who is the all-time leading goalscorer for England Under-21s, has netted 15 times in 67 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal, including twice in the EFL Cup this season. body check tags ::
