Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly identified Mario Balotelli as the ideal replacement for Luis Suarez.
Reports have claimed that the Merseysiders have started negotiations with Barcelona regarding the sale of Suarez, who is said to be keen on securing an exit from Anfield.
Should the Uruguayan depart for the Camp Nou, Rodgers believes that former Manchester City striker Balotelli is the best option to fill Suarez's boots, according to Tuttosport.
Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the AC Milan frontman.
