Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus in 2023.
The 22-year-old has been in strong form for his Dutch club during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 10 goals and registering two assists in 21 appearances in all competitions.
Kudus has also impressed for Ghana at the World Cup, finding the back of the net on two occasions in his side's opening two matches at the 2022 tournament.
There is currently a host of speculation surrounding the attacker's future, with Barcelona sporting director Jordi Cruyff confirming that he is a player of interest to the Catalan giants.
"We've been tracking Mohammed Kudus for more than one year. We can't say now that Barca want Kudus... but he's attracting interest," Cruyff told RAC1.
"He's scoring goals and in Holland, they discuss a lot about his position, so yes – I know him well."
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are believed to be keeping a close eye on his displays at the tournament, with Ghana bidding to reach the next round of the World Cup.
According to De Telegraaf, Liverpool have been closely monitoring Kudus's performances in Qatar, and the Reds are considering making a move for him either in January or at the end of the campaign.
Kudus recently revealed that he was "really close" to moving to Everton during the summer transfer window.
"I was really close to joining Everton. I thought it was a good project for me and I felt I should try it. It wasn't like this season was my first (at Ajax), it was my third," he told Star Connect on Joy TV.
"So if I'm not getting the progress I'm looking for, then why not try something else?
"I spoke to [Frank] Lampard. I had a chat with him to find out the project they had for me, what he thought about me and how he saw me as a player, because definitely that would be the green light for me to decide whether I wanted to move. Without the coach, there is nothing."
Kudus has scored five times in 14 Eredivisie appearances this season, while he netted four goals and contributed two assists in six outings in the group stage of the Champions League.
Ghana are currently second in Group H behind Portugal, and they would progress to the last-16 stage of the World Cup with a victory over Uruguay in their final group game on Friday. body check tags ::
