Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is reportedly targeting a January switch to Napoli.
Earlier this year, Torreira acknowledged that he had struggled to adapt to life in England after leaving Sampdoria for the Gunners ahead of the start of last season.
Speculation has persisted regarding an eventual return to Italy, which has intensified in recent days after comments from his agent.
According to Calciomercato, Napoli are the frontrunners to sign the Uruguay international should they be able to agree a deal with Arsenal.
However, with the Premier League side yet to resolve the future of out-of-favour Granit Xhaka, it remains uncertain whether the North Londoners will consider any offers in January.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery has talked up Torreira's importance to the squad, despite debate over his best position in the team.
