Manchester City are ready to step up their pursuit of Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.
The Premier League leaders believe that the in-form Dutchman could be tempted away from the Emirates Stadium, according to The Mirror.
The 28-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal and has been reluctant to put pen to paper on new terms.
City would also be keen to bolster their frontline after Carlos Tevez entered talks with A.C. Milan.
