Manchester City have remained hopeful that forward Gabriel Jesus will sign a new contract with the club this summer despite interest from elsewhere, according to a report.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Premier League champions during the current transfer window, as a result of the summer arrivals of Erling Braut Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
Jesus has just a year left to run on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium, and although Pep Guardiola's side have offered an extension to his five-and-a-half-year stay, no agreement has been signed to date.
As a result, the likes of Arsenal are said to be considering a move for the Brazilian over the coming weeks, and the Gunners have even reportedly had a bid rejected for one of their primary targets ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
However, despite the links elsewhere, City remain confident that their forward will extend his stay in Manchester according to 90min, who report that City believe they have offered an attractive proposition to Jesus and his representatives.
Although, the report also outlines how Serie A champions AC Milan have joined the race to acquire Jesus's signature this summer, whilst Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also considered moves.
Jesus has reportedly told his current side that he will make a decision on his future within the next week, following the conclusion of his international fixtures with Brazil.
Since making the £28m move from Palmeiras in January 2017, Jesus has gone on to feature 236 times for City across all competitions, scoring 95 goals. body check tags ::
