Mesut Ozil is reportedly prepared to sign a new deal at Arsenal if he is handed the number 10 shirt currently occupied by Jack Wilshere.
The 29-year-old is out of contract with the Gunners at the end of the season and has thus far refused to sign a new deal as he seeks a significant increase on his current weekly wage of £140,000.
According to The Sun, however, the Germany international is considering agreeing to fresh terms if he can switch his number 11 shirt for number 10.
Wilshere - also out of contract at the end of the season - has held the shirt since Robin van Persie departed in 2012, while Ozil is the number 10 for his country and was 10 at previous side Real Madrid.
Ozil recently insisted that he is keen to "give everything" to Arsenal amid speculation over his future.
