Newcastle United have reportedly identified Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha as one of their main transfer targets should their proposed takeover go through.
Zaha has made no secret of his desire to leave Palace for a bigger club in recent windows, although links to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have so far come to nothing.
The Eagles have placed a £60m price tag on their star man in an attempt to ward off interest, but the Daily Mail reports that Newcastle would be willing to meet that asking price.
The Magpies are currently waiting for Premier League approval over a £300m takeover and, should that go through, they are expected to undergo a major squad overhaul this summer.
Zaha's desire to play Champions League football could be a potential hurdle, although Newcastle are hopeful of appointing Mauricio Pochettino as manager to spearhead a challenge for the top four in the coming years.
The 27-year-old has made 30 appearances for Palace this season, scoring three goals and creating five more.
