Arsenal and Norway playmaker Martin Odegaard has confirmed that he has spoken with international teammate Erling Braut Haaland about his time at Real Madrid.
Los Blancos are considered one of the leading contenders to sign the Borussia Dortmund man this summer, with Manchester City also tipped to rival the capital giants for his signature.
Odegaard spent six-and-a-half years on the books at the Santiago Bernabeu before completing a permanent move to Arsenal last summer, and the 23-year-old has revealed that the duo have talked about his stint with the La Liga powerhouses.
"We are good friends so we talk about lots of things, like when I was [at Real Madrid]," Odegaard told a press conference. "So yeah, we talked about [Real Madrid], but it's not anything special."
Odegaard and Haaland are due to take on Slovakia with Norway in Friday's friendly before a clash with Armenia four days later.
The Dortmund striker has scored 23 goals and set up six more in 23 games for BVB this season, and Real Madrid are reportedly preparing an improved offer for the 21-year-old.
Meanwhile, Odegaard only managed 11 appearances during his time at Real Madrid, but the Arsenal man has five goals and three assists to his name from 26 Premier League matches this season. body check tags ::
