Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly firmly in the race for Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Mykhaylo Mudryk, with the French giants preparing to battle Arsenal for his signature.
The 21-year-old's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with a number of clubs believed to be interested in signing him either in January or next summer.
Arsenal, Everton and Brentford are among the clubs to be linked with the forward during the recent transfer market, while a recent report claimed that Liverpool were in the running.
According to Media Foot, PSG are now in the running for the Ukraine international, with the club preparing for the possible departure of Kylian Mbappe during next summer's transfer window.
The report claims that Arsenal are currently at the head of the queue, but Mudryk could be tempted by the better financial package that is likely to be on offer in the French capital.
Mudryk has been in impressive form for Shakhtar during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring twice and registering six assists in eight appearances in all competitions.
In the league, the attacker has four assists in four outings this term, while he has scored twice and registered two assists in four Champions League appearances.
Mudryk starred in his side's 4-1 win over RB Leipzig in the European Cup at the start of September, while he played 85 minutes of Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.
In total, the left-sided attacker has represented his current side on 34 occasions in all competitions, contributing four goals and 15 assists in the process.
"I think every guy dreams about the Premier League," he told CBS Sports when recently questioned on his future, with a January exit thought to be a possibility.
Mudryk's future could be linked to Mbappe, with the France international believed to have told PSG that he wants to leave next year despite only signing a new deal over the summer.
A recent report claimed that the France international feels 'betrayed' by the club and is unhappy with a number of broken promises this season.
Real Madrid were believed to be the team closest to signing the attacker last summer before he penned a new deal in Paris, but Los Blancos are allegedly no longer interested in his services.
PSG could be facing a rebuild in the near future, as Lionel Messi's contract is due to expire next June, and Barcelona are believed to be working to bring the Argentine back to Camp Nou. body check tags ::
