Quuens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes is reportedly interested in signing France international Olivier Giroud.
The Montpellier striker scored 26 goals last season to lead his club to the Ligue 1 title and QPR have now emerged as shock contenders for the 25-year-old's signature.
Arsenal have been repeatedly linked with Giroud in recent months but now appear to face competition from their London rivals.
The Daily Mail claims that Hughes is prepared to spend the majority of his transfer budget in an attempt to bring Giroud to Loftus Road.
Giroud is also a rumoured target for Spanish club Malaga.
