Manchester City have reportedly placed a £45m price tag on forward Raheem Sterling, amid interest from La Liga giants Barcelona.
The 26-year-old 'wants to leave' the Etihad Stadium, according to a previous report, with newly-appointed Barca boss Xavi believed to be interested in luring the Englishman to Camp Nou.
According to the Metro, the Citizens are open to selling Sterling in January for £45m, around £5m less than what they paid Liverpool to sign the forward back in 2015.
Pep Guardiola recently stated that he is "convinced" his former club Barcelona will sign Sterling should they make a formal offer in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
The likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal and Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest, however the Catalan giants are believed to be the frontrunners to sign the forward.
Sterling, who has less than two years remaining on his contract with the Premier League champions, has started just six of his 15 games across all competitions so far this season, scoring only twice. body check tags ::
