Arsenal have reportedly held positive talks with Barcelona over a January transfer for out-of-favour midfielder Denis Suarez.
The 25-year-old is keen to leave Camp Nou and is believed to have been Unai Emery's top target throughout the winter window.
Emery confessed last week that Arsenal have no money to bring in players on permanent deals this month, however, which appeared to hit his side's chances of luring Suarez to North London.
Talks have continued between all three parties, though, and The Mirror suggests that an agreement may now have been reached.
Arsenal will take the 25-year-old on loan until the summer, it is claimed, before handing over around £18m to make the deal permanent ahead of the 2019-20 season.
Bayern Munich loanee James Rodriguez has also emerged as an end-of-season target for the Gunners, but Emery is said to favour a move for Suarez, who has appeared a combined four times in La Liga and the Champions League this term.
