Arsenal have reportedly made early steps towards making Loic Remy a member of their squad ahead of next season.
Remy has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Gunners in recent months following a successful loan spell at Newcastle United.
Queens Park Rangers are yet to accept a bid from any club for the French striker, who has revealed that he is keen to play in the Champions League as soon as possible.
Remy's aspirations are believed to have knocked Newcastle out of the race to secure his services, but Arsenal are confident of securing a deal for the 27-year-old, according to the Daily Mail.
There is reported to be a clause in Remy's contract which could see him leave QPR for £8m this summer.
