Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has paved the way for a move to the Premier League after handing in a transfer request at the Ligue 1 club, according to reports.
The 28-year-old, who has scored 21 goals this season, is thought to be at the top of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger's shortlist as he bids to add more firepower to his squad.
The Gunners are ready to test the French club's resolve to hang on to the Uruguayan forward with a £55m offer, reports The Metro.
Cavani, who joined Paris Saint-Germain from Napoli in 2013, has also been linked with a move to Manchester United.
