Tottenham Hotspur have ended their long-running pursuit of Schalke 04 midfielder Max Meyer, according to a report.
The 22-year-old, due to become a free agent at the end of the season, has been repeatedly linked with the Lilywhites since 2016.
German outlet Sport Bild claims that Tottenham are no longer interested, however, paving the way for Arsenal to swoop in the summer transfer window.
Meyer has previously rejected the offer of a new contract at the Veltins-Arena and is also said to be on the radar of Barcelona due to his versatility in midfield and up top.
Schalke chief executive Christian Heidel stated last week that he expects the four-cap Germany international 'to make a decision shortly' regarding his future beyond this season.
