Rob Holding is reportedly on the verge of penning a new long-term deal with Arsenal.
The 25-year-old was strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium over the summer, with a number of clubs, including Leeds United and Newcastle United, thought to be interested in a loan deal.
Holding has been a key player for the Gunners this term, though, making 17 appearances in all competitions, and he recently captained Mikel Arteta's side against Everton.
According to The Telegraph, the former Bolton Wanderers youngster is poised to sign a new long-term contract with Arsenal, ending the speculation surrounding his future.
The former England Under-21s international has featured in each of his team's last 10 Premier League matches since recovering from a hamstring problem at the end of October.
Holding's existing deal at the Emirates Stadium is due to run until June 2023.
