Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has reiterated his stance that he expects Luis Suarez to stay at the club this summer.

The Uruguayan is believed to be keen on a move to Arsenal, who have already seen one bid of £30m rejected for the player, while manager Arsene Wenger is rumoured to be readying an improved offer for the forward.

"Yes, very much so," Rodgers told reporters when asked if he expected Suarez to be at the club next season.

"There's been a lot of speculation over the course of the close season but the reality is that he's a player who is very much valued at Liverpool and unless there's any sort of offer that comes in that's anywhere near his value, there's nothing to consider. We haven't had that."

Asked what that value was, Rodgers replied: "I didn't say we would sell him! I said that every player has a value and a worth. Doesn't mean you've got to sell them."

Suarez has joined up with the rest of the Liverpool squad on their tour of Australia and the Far East.
