The agent of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has reportedly contacted Manchester City over a possible January move for his client.
City were understood to be on the verge of signing Sanchez during the summer window, with the Chilean even putting pen to paper on a contract with the club only for Arsenal to pull out of the deal once they were unable to find a replacement.
Sanchez was reportedly left furious with Arsenal's refusal to sell him and Goal.com claims that he is now determined to secure an exit when the transfer window reopens on Monday.
Arsenal could also be willing to sell the 29-year-old rather than losing him on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Reports have suggested that there is a growing rift between Sanchez and a number of his teammates due to the Chile international's attitude following a string of unconvincing performances.
City had initially been willing to wait until the summer to sign Sanchez on a free transfer - despite expected competition from Paris Saint-Germain - but the player himself is reportedly desperate to push through a January move.
Sanchez has scored seven Premier League goals for Arsenal so far this season, including a match-winning brace against Crystal Palace last time out.
