Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that talks to sign Auxerre striker Yaya Sanogo are at an "advanced stage".
The 20-year-old has fired nine goals in 11 appearances in Ligue 2 this season, becoming one of French football's brightest young prospects.
His contract expires in the summer, meaning that he is free to talk to other clubs.
"[The deal] is in the advanced stages, but it is not done," Sky Sports News quotes Wenger as saying.
Sanogo has made two appearances for the France Under-21 side.
