Roma have reportedly lined up the season-long loan signing of Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi.
Despite having been a first-team regular at the Gunners since 2016, the Germany international does not feature in the plans of manager Unai Emery.
While Mustafi would prefer to fight for his place at the Emirates Stadium, the Premier League outfit are attempting to offload the 27-year-old to a foreign club before the end of the summer window.
According to Forza Roma, the Serie A outfit have indicated that they are interested in completing a loan deal with the option to buy at the end of the season.
The report adds that Arsenal would be looking to receive £23m next summer, around £12m less than the North Londoners paid Valencia three years ago.
Roma have allegedly made contact with Arsenal regarding Mustafi having opted against signing Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren.
