Arsenal forward Wellington Silva has admitted that he is keen on signing a contract extension at the Emirates.
The 22-year-old signed for the Gunners in 2011 but has not yet made a senior appearance for the club as he was only granted a work permit late last year.
Since moving to Arsenal, the 22-year-old has been sent out on loan five times, and is currently at La Liga club Almeria.
Silva told Marca: "My agent told me recently because we are trying to sort out my renewal. I only have a year with Arsenal.
"I want to do pre-season there and I'm very happy about this news. But I am currently with Almeria and my thoughts are here. We have to achieve our goal of safety."
Silva will be free to play for the Gunners from the beginning of next season.
