Aston Villa are hoping to land Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong on loan in January.
Manager Alex McLeish believes that the Midlands club needs to strengthen in the midfield area, according to The Mirror.
However, Villa will face competition from local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers for the 19-year-old.
Frimpong has been with Arsenal since he signed for their academy side as a nine-year-old.
