Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he wants to add "super quality" to his side before the end of the transfer window.
The Gunners are reportedly in talks to sign Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil and have also been linked with Abel Hernandez and Demba Ba.
Wenger told reporters: "I am not against spending money, but I want to add super quality to our squad. Tottenham got a lot of money for Bale, they have to invest it - I understand that.
"The need is different for us, we need one or two super players and we will try to add that. We have 24 more hours, so maybe we can surprise you. Maybe not - but I am confident."
Arsenal recorded their second win of the season in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby on Sunday.
