Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he will only spend money in January if he finds the "right" personnel.
The Gunners have sent out Marouane Chamakh and Johan Djourou on loan to West Ham United and Hannover respectively, and are expected to move on a number of squad players over the coming few weeks.
However, Wenger is adamant that he will only try to bring in players to the club who he thinks are necessary.
"We are on the market and if we find the right players, we will do something", Wenger told Arsenal Player.
Elsewhere, the North London outfit have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of David Villa, with Barcelona president Sandro Rossell stating that the player would not be sold during the transfer window.
