Arsene Wenger has reportedly met with Gonzalo Higuain in order to convince him of a £20m move to Arsenal.

The Argentine striker has been told that he can leave Real Madrid by president Florentino Perez, which has attracted the attention of the Gunners and Italian champions Juventus.

According to The Mirror, the French coach held talks with Higuain and his father Jorge in Paris, which has put the North London club in pole position to land their man.

Higuain scored 16 goals in 19 starts for Los Blancos this season.
