Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that talks are continuing with Mesut Ozil over a new deal at the club.
The 28-year-old playmaker and teammate Alexis Sanchez are both out of contract at the end of next season and are reportedly demanding weekly wages of £250,000 in order to sign extensions.
Ozil is currently the club's top earner with a weekly wage packet of £140,000, while Sanchez takes home £130,000.
Asked for an update on Ozil's situation at a pre-match presser this week, Wenger replied: "[There is] nothing really concrete enough to talk about it. It's moving along."
Wenger recently said that he is hopeful of the German agreeing new terms, claiming that he is at the "right" club at this stage of his career.
