West Ham United are reportedly the latest club to join the race for in-demand Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard.
The former Paris Saint-Germain starlet is widely expected to depart the Scottish side this summer, with his existing deal due to expire in 2022 and no renewal in sight.
Leicester City and Arsenal have long been linked with a move for the striker over the past few months, but according to Football Insider, West Ham could now move ahead of the Foxes in the race for his signature.
FA Cup winners Leicester are thought to be closing in on the signing of Red Bull Salzburg forward Patson Daka, and Brendan Rodgers is therefore not expected to pursue another centre-forward in the summer market.
As a result, the report claims that West Ham are prepared to take advantage by swooping for Edouard, especially with two other rumoured targets in Adam Armstrong and Tammy Abraham supposedly not available.
Edouard netted 22 goals across all competitions for Celtic last term, and he also scored twice for the France Under-21 side in the European Championship, but Les Bleuets suffered a disappointing quarter-final exit to the Netherlands. body check tags ::
