Former Chelsea midfielder Ray Wilkins believes that the Blues will ensure that Petr Cech is sold to a non-Premier League club amid speculation linking him to Arsenal.
The goalkeeper is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, having fallen behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order in West London.
The Gunners are among those poised to swoop, but Wilkins says that the Czech will be shipped off abroad to avoid strengthening the competition.
"If you look at Chelsea's actions over the last few years, with the likes of Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka and Salomon Kalou, they were all sold outside the country so they couldn't do any damage to the club in the Premier League," he told talkSPORT. "Jose Mourinho will do the same with Petr Cech."
Cech joined Chelsea 11 years ago from French side Rennes.
