Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has confirmed that he will sign a new long-term contract within the "next couple of weeks".
According to Sky Sports News, the 20-year-old, fresh back from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, will put pen to paper on a four-year deal.
"I am talking to the club and I probably will be committing my future to the club in the next couple of weeks," said Wilshere.
"I know the team are going through a bad stage at the moment but that is like any team."
Wilshere, who came through the Gunners' youth ranks, made his debut for the club back in 2008.
