Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane reportedly wants his club to sign RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano during this summer's transfer window.
The 21-year-old, who is believed to have a £55m release clause in his current deal, is widely expected to leave Leipzig ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona have all been linked with the Frenchman, who has made 29 appearances at club level during the current season, including six in the Champions League.
However, according to AS, Madrid are also in the hunt for Upamecano, with head coach Zidane identifying the centre-back as an ideal signing during this summer's transfer window.
Raphael Varane's position at the Bernabeu appears secure, but Sergio Ramos, Nacho and Eder Militao have all recently seen their futures called into question.
Upamecano has featured on 104 occasions for Leipzig since a 2017 move from Red Bull Salzburg.
