Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galtier has admitted that he has some regrets after his side were held to a 1-1 draw away at AS Monaco in Ligue 1.
Les Verts had found themselves a goal ahead of Leonardo Jardim's men at Stade Louis II, but they surrendered two points as Anthony Martial equalised for Monaco after Mevlut Erding's opener.
"There are regrets, yes. I think we had the better chances," said Galtier, according to the official Ligue 1 website.
"I had the feeling that Monaco would change something up after we scored, and unfortunately, we allowed them to get back on level terms too quickly.
"If we could do it over again, I'd do it differently. Before the opposition coach switched to a 4-4-2, we should have been more audacious and pushed our luck, making more runs."
Saint-Etienne currently find themselves occupying fifth spot in the league standings, one place behind Jardim's charges.
