AS Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has described his side's comfortable 3-0 victory over nine-man Bastia as "the perfect evening".
Jardim's men continued to mount a claim for a Champions League spot come the end of the season with Friday's win, which saw impressive youngster Anthony Martial grab a brace at the Stade Louis II.
"It's the perfect evening. The team played well and produced a great display, creating a lot of chances," said Jardim, according to the official Ligue 1 website.
"We didn't need to use a lot of energy in the last 30 minutes, that's good. The Bastia team that knocked us out of the Coupe de la Ligue was more aggressive. After the first red card, it was easier for us."
Monaco currently occupy fourth spot in the Ligue 1 standings, three points behind Marseille.
