Aston Villa are confident that Gabriel Agbonlahor will be fit in time for the start of the new season.
The 25-year-old forward scored the winning goal as Villa overcame Chicago Fire in a pre-season friendly, however he then limped off midway through the second half after suffering an ankle injury.
"Gabby Agbonlahor injury not as bad as first feared. Out for two weeks," read a tweet posted by the club's official account.
Agbonlahor has made 215 Premier League appearances for Villa, scoring 53 goals.
