Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has insisted that his team will not earn a result against Liverpool if they do not improve on their 2-0 victory over Norwich City.
The Premier League's bottom side recorded just their fourth win of the campaign against the Canaries last weekend, but Garde has suggested that he was not content with a welcome three points.
The French boss, who arrived at Villa Park in December, feels that his team need to produce a better display if they are to continue their recent revival in the league, which has seen them earn eight points from five games.
The 49-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "If we are playing the same game against Liverpool [as against Norwich], we will have no chance to have points.
"My job is to say 'well done lads for the victory and three points but the football we played won't be enough to take points from the Liverpool game.
"We won the Norwich game but not in the best way we could have done it. I was not completely happy with the game that we played."
Ahead of this weekend's fixtures, Villa sit eight points from safety in the table.
